This contains all necessary day wise details such as sight attractions to check out, food options to explore, and so much more. So ladies and gentlemen, pack your bags and get yourselves ready for the best Goan experience in these 5 days.

The Best Way to Plan Goa Trip for 5 Days

To help you get started, we have listed below a day-to-day travel plan. Here’s how it goes:

Day1: Tour Through Panjim and Old Goa

Start your Goa trip by arriving early at Panjim so that you get to have the complete day reserved for sightseeing. Panjim, which is the heart and capital of the Goan state, holds the history and architecture of the region. If you want to gain insights about the ancient tradition of Goa, visit historical landmarks like churches and temples. And if you want to shop and hop around, there are several shopping markets for you to take back Goan souvenirs to your home.

On the same day, you can visit Old Goa and explore places such as Basilica of Bom Jesus, Church of St Francis of Assisi, which still remain great narratives of Portuguese architecture. Rent a scooter to stroll through the local streets. In the evening, head over towards the Museum of Christian art, and treat yourself with a traditional Goan meal, precisely the Goan bread. This becomes your first step to plan Goa trip for 5 days.

Day2: Proceed Towards North Goa

Better known for its vibrant beaches and tantalizing nightlife, North Goa is definitely an unmissable place. When thinking about how to plan Goa trip for 5 days, make sure you make the most of North Goa. Don’t worry, we have got you covered. Go out and start your second day by visiting Fort Aguada. It is the biggest fort in the state and is close to Candolim, offering great views. Indulge in parasailing at Sinquerim beach, and you will have a great time there. Or you can enjoy a boat ride at Nerul River. If you are lucky enough, you may spot dolphins swimming in the coastal waters.

Goa’s beaches and forts offer the best views for sunsets. And so, if you are an admirer of the same, head over to Vagator beach or witness it through the Chapora Fort. This Dil Chahta Hai Fort gives an opportunity to you to reminisce about the beauty of sunsets. So it is advisable to reach at least 30 minutes prior for an enchanting experience. Hang out at the cafes by the beach and party at some famous nightclubs, and groove to the mesmerizing musical beats on the dance floor.

Day3: Know more of North Goa

We know that a single day’s stay at North Goa won’t be enough to get all the fun at once. Hence, on your second day at North Goa, which probably would be your third day of the trip, you can go to the famous Siolim Church. Also known as St. Anthony’s Church, it is close to Chapora River and a must visit site of North Goa. Probably one of Goa’s most deserted beaches, Morjim Beach remains empty, even during weekends. For a serene experience, you can chill at one of its shacks, or even visit the Turtle Nesting Site to get more information about this beautiful place.

Immerse yourself in the excellence of Goan seafood, in particular the Konkani seafood. You will find many restaurants on the streets of Goa serving authentic and delicious seafood that are a treat to your taste buds. Hence, don’t miss out on this, only if you are a seafood lover. To explore the hippie vibe of Goa, visit Arambol where you will find various foreign tourists; the restaurant named ‘Garden of Dreams’ would be a fun option to enjoy hippie vibes along with a mouth watering vegan food menu.

Day4: A Day at South Goa

South Goa better fits for a single day’s trip. In contrast to the loud and bustling North Goa, the southern part is relatively calmer and isolated. It is all about beaches and diving deep into the beauty of nature. However one may involve in various fun activities including eagle-feeding, kayaking at Agonda or Palolem, Island hopping, or even take a heritage tour. Some heritage sites of South Goa are Figueiredo Mansion and Menezes Braganza House. To experience something other than the usual beaches, move to the Dudhsagar Falls and get the best views of Cabo De Rama, which is a flat land overlooking the South Goan coastline. This particular place’s beauty is unmatchable and is a totally breathtaking creation of nature.

Day5: Bid Adieu

After a fun-filled and hectic 4 day trip, keep the last day reserved for relaxation before you head back to your home. So whenever you plan Goa trip for 5 days, plan and arrange your schedule in such a manner that you get enough time to rest as well as roam around. After having your breakfast, pack your bags and check-out of your hotel, and if you have time, go to some nearby attractions of South Goa before arriving at the airport or railway station. But, watch your time and plan accordingly.

We hope that this itinerary helps you to easily plan Goa trip for 5 days. In this time span, you will be able to cover most of the state’s tourist attractions, offering you a bunch of memories to take back home. This article might have solved all of your queries regarding your trip to Goa. So, it is now time to plan an enthralling trip to the western coast of India and enjoy life to the fullest, making the most out of it!
