Delhi Police Special Task Force team chased Jain to Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport in connection with a case filed by Rajat Babbar;
New Delhi: Parsvnath Landmark CEO Sanjeev Jain was arrested on Saturday by the Delhi Police STF team at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Sanjeev Jain had five warrants issued against him, including four non-bailable ones and a fifth bailable warrant. The warrants against Jain were issued in connection with the execution of application No.83 of 2022, related to consumer complaint no. 2489 of 2017, titled “Rajat Babbar & Anr Vs Ms. Parshwanath Developers Pvt Ltd.” by the Joint Registrar of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in Delhi. The Delhi police received the information that Sanjeev Jain was at his Gurugram DLF Phase 2 house, following which they arrived at his residence to arrest him. However, by then, Jain had left for Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport. The STF team chased him from there. What followed was a cat-and-mouse game between Delhi Police and Sanjeev Jain resulting in a 60 kilometers high-speed chase. Jain managed to reach the airport to escape, but the Delhi police caught on to him just in time and made the arrest. On Sunday, Sanjeev Jain was presented before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary said in a statement that Sanjeev Jain was arrested over five pending warrants, four of which are non-bailable, and one bailable warrant issued against him over his inability to appear before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. The warrants were issued in connection with a case filed by Rajat Babbar.

Hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Sanjeev Jain completed his schooling at Jain Khekra Inter College. He specializes in advanced construction technology at Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering, Pune, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the same college. Jain has been associated with Parsvnath Developers Private Limited for 32 years. He oversaw Parsvnath Landmark’s architectural, construction, and purchase departments. In February 2002, he was appointed the Managing Director of Parsvnath Developers. A complaint was filed against Sanjeev Jain in the year 2017 by the Consumer Commission. He was the then Managing Director of Parsvanath Developers Private Limited.
